[Bug] Text copied to clipboard not actually pasting in external applications

Question

**Bug Description**
Selecting and copying text isn't putting anything (at least nothing usable) in my clipboard. 
1. Select some text in CC
2. ctrl+shift+c
3. CC says "Copied X chars to clipboard"
4. Go into text editor or something else
5. paste

Nothing shows up there
