[BUG] 6238 is not fixed

What's Wrong?

The search issue described in #6238 is not fixed, or it has regressed. I see the exact same thing with 1.0.111 (Claude Code). (#6328 was locked, otherwise I would have reopened it.)

Searches should work consistently.
