[BUG] Persistent 401 Authentication Error

What's Wrong?

Bug Report: Persistent 401 Authentication Error

• Claude Code version: 2.1.80
• OS: macOS
• Email: iori.andrea.ai@gmail.com
• Subscription: Claude Max

Problem:
Every command returns:
API Error: 401 {"type":"error","error":{"type":"authentication_error","message":"Invalid authentication credentials"}}

Steps tried (all failed):

1. claude logout → 401
2. claude auth login → 401 persists immediately after
3. Deleted ~/.claude and ~/.credentials.json → same error
4. Uninstalled npm version and installed native installer → same error
5. Console shows Welcome correctly but tokens expire instantly
6. No active sessions in console.anthropic.com/account to revoke

Additional info:

• claude.ai web works fine
• Not using VPN
• System clock is correct

This is blocking all work. Need immediate assistance.
