[Feature Request] Improve safeguard calibration for scientific research in geochemistry and Earth history simulation

Open 💬 0 comments Opened Jul 4, 2026 by josephwecker

Bug Description
We're trying to very carefully discuss the evolution of Earth and how various epochs can be simulated in efficient and principled ways. Fable wanted to sketch out some of the scaffold for the Great Oxygenation Event-- that being a critical regime-change in Earth's history where the atmosphere became oxygenated and the Earth became blue. Safeguards are killing us because we're probably getting too close to Biology, even as we try to make it about geochemistry etc. for the most part. As my research primarily involves agents, and most known agents are biological, I'm excited for when the safeguards are calibrated and/or trust networks and verification etc. are in place and principled. Hope this helps. (BTW- I'm biological too!! Don't tell the safeguard.) (P.S., we didn't even call it "The Great Dying"! I can't believe it was still worried. Poor thing.)
