Claude Code already auto-updates: the native install (
curl -fsSL https://claude.ai/install.sh | bash) checks for and installs new versions in the background, and you can pick a release channel or turn it off. Homebrew/WinGet/Linux package-manager installs need a manual upgrade (brew upgrade claude-code,winget upgrade Anthropic.ClaudeCode).
