[Bug][cyber] Blocked advising firmware rollback to a version predating a proprietary security module (req_011CcVsoCiNTcFRUPRhMtxmG)

Triage: kind cyber · domain general · severity session-halted (blocked authorized work) · reproducible: yes — server-side via the Request ID(s) below

Type: Cybersecurity safety-filter false positive · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

The white-box module appears to have been introduced via a firmware update partway through the product's lifetime, so an earlier firmware version predating it should not include the component.

Reverting may be blocked by anti-rollback protections (version fuses or signature checks that reject older images), and even where rollback succeeds the manufacturer may have removed features or changed protocols in later versions, so the older firmware could lack capabilities you currently rely on. The cleanest way to confirm is to pull the changelogs/version history for each firmware release and identify the exact version where the component first appeared.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-06-28T15:14:55.344Z.
