[Bug] Clipboard copy to system clipboard broken after update
Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Jun 27, 2026 by ahik Closed Jun 27, 2026
Bug Description
Title
Clipboard copy broke after update — copying no longer reaches the system clipboard (regression)
Body
What happened:
Copying highlighted text from inside Claude Code used to work and now doesn't. When I copy, nothing lands in my clipboard — paste gives nothing or old text. An earlier version worked fine; a recent update broke it.
What I expected:
Highlight + Ctrl+Shift+C copies to my system clipboard, like it did before.
Environment:
- Claude Code version: 2.1.195
- OS: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
- Terminal: GNOME Terminal
- Plain terminal copy still works; only Claude Code's copy is broken.
Fix requested:
Restore working copy out of the box, as it was in earlier versions — no extra tools or configuration should be required. Copying highlighted text should just work.
Environment Info
- Platform: linux
- Terminal: gnome-terminal
- Version: 2.1.193
