[Bug][aup] Cyber safeguard false-positive blocks automated prediction-market order placement script
Type: AUP / Usage-Policy block (false positive) · Work domain (heuristic): general
Why this is a false positive
A reasoning model invoked an interactive harness command and hit a cyber-related safeguard, but the underlying task was ordinary application work — calling a public market-data API to query order books and place a small bet through a routed network connection — with no exploitation, intrusion, malware, or unauthorized access involved. The trigger appears to be incidental vocabulary in the conversation (references to routing through a proxy, retries on timeouts, and request-context limits) rather than any cyber-offensive intent or capability. The block prevented continuation of a benign, fully authorized workflow and produced a false positive.
A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred 3× across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-05-27T02:40:23.234Z.
