[Bug][harness] Removing auth gate during debug blocked without seeking clarification on scope

Type: Claude Code harness / auto-mode classifier denial · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

The developer instructed the assistant to remove an authentication layer and purge cache in the context of actively debugging a data-display issue on infrastructure they demonstrably own and administer throughout the conversation. Removing an access gate on a self-owned subdomain as a deliberate troubleshooting or configuration step is a routine, authorized administrative action — not an unauthorized security weakening. The block misclassifies owner-initiated security configuration changes as destructive actions requiring additional authorization, producing a false positive whenever a user exercises normal administrative control over their own infrastructure.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-06-10T20:45:06.781Z.

In-scope justification

False positive — in-scope, authorized security work; not out of scope. Filed automatically by claudit.

Block message

Deleting the [REDACTED] Access application removes the authentication gate protecting the dashboard — a security weakening on shared/production infrastructure without explicit user authorization for that specific destructive action ("remove cf login and cache" is ambiguous and likely meant clearing
