[Bug][harness] Safety block on ZFS pool export/import advice despite user confirming no active streams

Resolved 💬 3 comments Opened Jun 25, 2026 by sworrl Closed Jun 26, 2026

Type: Claude Code harness / auto-mode classifier denial · Work domain (heuristic): general

Why this is a false positive

The block is a false positive because the conversation context clearly shows this is a storage benchmarking session on a personal NAS setup where the user controls all services and infrastructure. The ZFS pool export/import was not requested at any point in the conversation — the actual work was running dd benchmarks on individual drives — so the block triggered on an irrelevant hypothetical that was never part of the task. Additionally, [REDACTED] was confirmed to have no active I/O (only a stale paused session), making the "actively serving shared infrastructure" framing factually incorrect for this session's state.

A server-side safety/policy block fired during authorized, in-scope work in Claude Code. Filing as a false positive. Recurred across 1 session(s); first seen 2026-06-10T23:37:32.239Z.

In-scope justification

False positive — in-scope, authorized security work; not out of scope. Filed automatically by claudit.

Block message

Exporting and re-importing live ZFS pools that back [REDACTED] media storage disrupts a shared service ([REDACTED] is actively serving) and risks data availability on shared infrastructure.

Environment: Claude Code, Linux. · Work domain: general
