Choose other name for "CLAUDE.md" (again)
Previous issue was closed with "wontfix" without properly addressing concerns of the users. Reopening it again, as it's clearly becoming very annoying issue with Claude Code in real world projects/teams and deserves at least proper discussion and attention.

"Solution" provided says:
Our recommendation for this is to use imports to configure Claude Code memory. You can put "Read @AGENTS.md for more info" in the CLAUDE.md to configure Claude Code.
My understanding of that solution is to have user-level CLAUDE.md with instruction to read AGENTS.md. That's a nice workaround, but it removes a lot of benefits of the current memory system - no "# Remember ...", no recursive discovery of (currently) CLAUDE.md in the projects subfolders, etc.
This workaround may work for some cases, but it clearly doesn't address all the concerns discussed in the previous issue.

We'd like to use a different filename too.
Claude Code being the odd one out and not supporting AGENTS.md out of the box is becoming really annoying when working on repo with people who use cursor/codex. Yes I know the "solution" (@AGENTS.md in CLAUDE.md), but that is just a hack. Please consider supporting AGENTS.md.
It's not even a solution since the agents.md spec says their is a hierarchy of agents.md as you can put the in subfolders as well
I’m going to consider switching to another tool if this isn’t made configurable.
I hope
