What's Wrong?

On the Claude iOS app, the app crashes (closes instantly to the home screen) every time I tap into a Claude Code session to open it. This happens on every session, not a specific one.

The session list loads fine, I can see live session updates, and interactive controls like the Approve button work from the list view. The crash only occurs at the moment of opening/entering a session. There is no error message — the

What I've already tried (crash persists through all)

  • Force-quit and reopened the app
  • Restarted the phone
  • Deleted and reinstalled the app, logged back in
  • Confirmed sufficient free storage
  • Confirmed iOS is up to date
  • Confirmed app is the latest App Store version
  • Checked status.anthropic.com (no active incident)

Environment

  • Platform: iOS (iPhone)
  • iPhone model: iPhone 14 Pro
  • iOS version: 26.5
  • Claude app version: 1.260618.0 (27777773659)
  • Remote dev environment: Claude Code running on a remote Linux box (Hetzner), attached via the mobile app

What Should Happen?

The session should open and display its contents without crashing.
