[BUG]

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I'm paying £100 per month for Claude Pro.
I am signed in with my Pro account (the 5-hour limit and weekly usage are visible, currently at 2% and 16%).
Despite having plenty of the 5-hour limit remaining, Claude Code and Cowork are consuming my usage credits. This has become much worse since recent updates — it's burning through credits suspiciously fast.
The desktop app is also very buggy.
The current situation makes the Pro subscription feel pointless when the main tools I use aren't properly covered. This needs fixing.

What Should Happen?

If I’m paying £100/month for Claude Pro, I should be able to use Claude Code and Cowork within my 5-hour session limit without burning any usage credits.
Usage credits should only be consumed after I have fully used up my included 5-hour limit — not while I still have 98% of it remaining.
The Pro subscription should actually cover the tools I'm paying for.

Steps to Reproduce

Open Claude Code desktop app
Check Settings > Usage — shows only 2% used on 5-hour limit
Start working normally in Cowork or Code
Usage credits start getting consumed immediately, even though plenty of 5-hour limit remains

This happens consistently every session.
