[Bug] Agent dialog blocks remote control input until terminal interaction

Question

**Bug Description**
agents dialog left on console completely blocked remote control from functioning.  I could still enter commands, but the UX appeared as if it was trying to complete, but was actually just waiting for me to hit enter in the terminal
