Bug: claude-sonnet-4-6 classifier unavailable, blocks all write operations
Date: 2026-06-20
Issue: Claude Code repeatedly returns "claude-sonnet-4-6 is temporarily unavailable, so auto mode cannot determine the safety of [tool]" — blocking ALL write/delete/bash operations for extended periods (1+ hour). Read-only tools work fine.
Impact: Cannot write files, run bash commands, or make any edits. Paid subscription, productive work completely blocked.
Steps to reproduce: Any Write/Edit/Bash tool call in Claude Code desktop app on Windows 11.
Expected: Classifier failure should fall back gracefully or prompt user for manual approval — not hard-block everything.
