[BUG] Unable to exit screen after modifying plan with Ctrl+G

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

When I modify a plan using Ctrl+G, I get stuck in the screen and cannot exit. Neither pressing Esc twice nor any other known commands work to return to normal mode.
I remain stuck in the screen. The only way to exit is to completely close the conversation, losing all context and having to start from scratch.

What Should Happen?

I should be able to exit the plan modification screen and return to the normal conversation.
