[Bug] Batch job execution hangs indefinitely without error notification

Bug Description
I would like to file a complaint about claude.ai. I wanted Opus to run an unattended batch job and we had confirmed the entire plan. I then left, expecting it to handle the task as promised. However, when I checked the next day, it had been stuck the entire time. It completely wasted 8 hours of my time.
