[BUG] mouse wheel scroll in IntelliJ on mac does not scroll conversation

CC version: 2.1.179
MacOS: Tahoe 26.5.1
Jetbrains IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate 2025.2.6

mouse wheel scroll in intellij terminal tab does not work when using claude code in the ide. scrolls fine in a regular macOS terminal window. Other intellij terminal tabs scroll fine from mouse wheel. This used to work fine. some change caused a regression.

What Should Happen?

Expected behavior would be that I can scroll the conversation beyond what fits in the current window. This used to work.

Steps to Reproduce

have a conversation with claude code in Intellij terminal window.
make sure conversation fills window beyond window limits.
attempt to scroll back to conversation outside window limits.
