[BUG] Invalid Oath - Claude Code

What's Wrong?

It isn't possible to authenticate Claude Code using a pro subscription on a server os with no windows manager/browser via an ssh session.

Launching Claude Code for the first time or using claude setup-token produces a URL, I take the URL and paste into my host browser I get an Invalid Oauth Token message

What Should Happen?

Claude should allow the use of a secondary browser for authentication on a non desktop OS or provide a alternate method to complete Oauth

Install Claude Code on Ubuntu server 24.04

in an ssh session
run claude
choose the mode
chose pro/max subscription as auth method
copy the url to host machine

or

run claude setup-token
