  • [x] This is a single feature request (not multiple features)

Problem Statement

I often receive prompt suggestions on an empty prompt when claude prompts for how to proceed (e.g "Do you want to do X or should we do Y?"), which can be auto-completed with the tab key. An "auto-prompt"/"suggested prompt". Sometimes the auto-prompt is what i want and sometimes it's not, but only one of the number of paths forward can be suggested for me to auto-complete.

Proposed Solution

I'd like claude code to identify (sure it does already) two or more of the options forward and let me either cycle them with a keyboard shortcut or, ideally, update the suggestion when i start typing out one of the _other_ identified options. For example, if the latest claude response is "Do you want to do X and then say howdy or do Y and say doo?" and the initial suggested prompt is "Do X and then say howdy", i want the suggested prompt to update to "Do Y and say doo" as i write the substring "Do Y" so that i can tab-auto-complete that instead.
