[Bug] opus 4.8 hangs indefinitely on tool calls after extended usage, freezes on messages ending with "let me..."

Bug Description
after 2 hours of using ultracode, claude code (opus 4.8) has started to flake out on making toolcalls and just hangs indefinitely on basic reads and updates unless I interrupt it. It self realized it was bundling toolcalls with message that ended with "let me do X", and everytime it ends a message with "let me ..." it reproducibly stalls the session.
