[BUG] Cowork: Live Artifacts folder path changed in 1.9255.2, no automatic migration from Documents\Claude\Artifacts

After updating to version 1.9255.2, existing Live Artifacts are no longer accessible.
Cowork shows "Folder not found on disk" for all previously created artifacts.

Root Cause Identified

The artifacts storage path has changed between versions:

• Previous path: C:\Users\<User>\Documents\Claude\Artifacts\
• New path: C:\Users\<User>\Claude\Artifacts\

Existing artifacts remain in the old location but Cowork now looks for them in the new path.
No automatic migration was performed.

Workaround

Manually move artifact folders from Documents\Claude\Artifacts\ to Claude\Artifacts\ .

What Should Happen?

The update should either:

• Automatically migrate artifacts from the old path to the new one, or
• Show a clear message pointing to the old location and offering to migrate

Steps to Reproduce

1. Have existing Live Artifacts created on a version prior to 1.9255.2
2. Update to Claude Desktop 1.9255.2 (2026-05-27)
3. Open Cowork → Live Artifacts tab
4. All previously created artifacts show "Folder not found on disk"
