[BUG] Auto Mode not appearing in Shift+Tab cycle or /permissions despite being enabled

Preflight Checklist
- [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
- [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
- [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code
What's Wrong?
Environment:
- Claude Code 2.1.131
- Windows, ConEmu x64
- Max plan, Opus 4.7
Steps:
- Ran
claude --enable-auto-mode - Ran
claude auto-mode config— returns full Auto Mode config (allow/soft_deny/environment lists) - Restarted Claude Code
- Shift+Tab only cycles between: "accept edits on", "plan mode on", "? for shortcuts"
/permission-mode autoand/mode autoboth return "Args from unknown skill"/permissionsshows tabs (Recently denied, Allow, Ask, Deny, Workspace) but no mode toggle
Expected: Auto mode appears in Shift+Tab cycle and/or in /permissions
Actual: Auto mode is configured but not accessible from the session
(Reason for needing to do all this in the first place: the "always allow" choice from interactive permission prompts also doesn't persist — every session re-prompts for the same commands.)
What Should Happen?
Auto mode appears in Shift+Tab cycle and/or in /permissions
