[Bug] Input buffering behavior inconsistent during active task execution
Bug Description
When claude code is working on something, and I start typing a message below and press return, while it's still working on something in the foreground, SOMETIMES what I've typed will be noticed by the front task, and my input can be added to the task in real time without interrupting Claude first. But sometimes, it just sits there in some queue, and Claude ignores what I typed until it is done with whatever it was doing. It would be really nice to know what status my typing is in. Often I want to answer or clarify something it mentioned, to help it continue. And when those clarifications aren't actually sent until Claude is done, by then my comments are too late, or kick off some corrections that could have been avoided if it "noticed" what I had typed earlier!
