  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I'm using Claude for windows 1.8089.1 (b98a06)
Windows 11, 25H2 Build 26200.8457

This issue started a few minor releases ago, i'm not sure when. I have a triple-monitor setup. My power profile is set as follows:
hibernate: disabled
system sleep: disabled
turn off monitors when idle after: 20 minutes

It took several hours and lots of process of elimination before I discovered that the culprit is claude. If claude.exe is running - even just as a system tray icon, the monitors will not turn off when idle. If I exit claude completely (cowork-svc.exe is sill running); no instances of claude.exe on the system, then the monitors will turn off.

What Should Happen?

Claude.exe should not interfere with display sleep.
