Bug Description

When I was using Claude CLI i got the message that there is a new version, then I exit to update and this is what happen:

sudo npm i -g @anthropic-ai/claude-code

I tried to cancel (CTRL+C) it, and Claude was corrupted! I deleted the /usr/local/lib/node_modules for anthropic and try again ... the same issue.

Expected Behavior

the instalation goes without problems.

Actual Behavior

Freezes
