Claude Code Desktop - LocalCache grows uncontrollably on fresh install (Windows 10)

What's Wrong?
Version: 1.7196.1.0
OS: Windows 10
App: Claude Cowork Desktop
Issue:
On a fresh install, the LocalCache folder grows extremely rapidly.
Cache grew from 3 GB to 13.2 GB within a few hours of normal use.
After manually clearing LocalCache it returned to 1.73 GB but
quickly grew back to 5.87 GB shortly after.
Location of cache:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\[Claude folder]\LocalCache

Steps to reproduce:
- Fresh install of Claude Cowork Desktop v1.7196.1.0
- Open and use the app normally
- Check Settings → Apps → Claude → Advanced Options
- Cache grows rapidly within hours
Expected behavior:
Cache should remain at a reasonable size.

Cache should remain at a reasonable size. Claude should only be using no more than 4 GB
