When Claude Code generates a plan (via plan mode), users can give inline feedback directly in the plan UI and Claude picks it up. This is a great interaction pattern.

It would be valuable to extend something similar to regular .md files — e.g., when a user highlights text in an open .md file in the editor, Claude Code could surface that selection as context in the next turn (similar to how IDEs pass selected text to AI assistants).

Use case: A user opens a resume or spec .md file, highlights a bullet they want rewritten, and Claude sees exactly what they're pointing at without them having to copy-paste or describe it.

This mirrors the plan-mode feedback UX that already exists and would make document-editing workflows significantly more fluid.
