The + New Session button does nothing

What's Wrong?

clicking on the "+ New Session" button produces no action...the button is not grayed out.

What Should Happen?

Clicking + New Session should open a new session

Steps to Reproduce

Open Claude Code Desktop App on Windows 11
In the left sidebar, click the + New Session button
Observe: nothing happens
No new session is created
Restart the app and repeat steps — issue persists
