What's Wrong?

Claude Code process exited with code 132 (SIGILL) on every message.

Model: MacBookPro10,2 (Late 2012)
OS: macOS Ventura (via OCLP)
Claude Desktop: 1.6608.1
Error: Claude Code process exited with code 132 (SIGILL) on every message
CPU: No AVX2 support (machdep.cpu.features output)
When it broke: After pasting an image ~May 8 2026, now crashes on all messages

What Should Happen?

It was all working fine on this old Mac, until I pasted an image to Claude Code Desktop.

Now I get an error with code 132 (SIGILL) on every message

Steps to Reproduce

Simply try to prompt Claude Desktop Code and I get that error right away.
