[Bug] Text input via Ctrl-G loses content without clear confirmation prompt for submission

Bug Description
I hit control-G, spent 5 minutes entering text, hit :wq and then I lost all that text because Claude did not give me a clear instruction that I had to then hit "ENTER" to get that text into the prompt. That is absolutely RUBBISH. It tells me loud and clear that you dont really care about your customers. And if you dont care about me why should I care about you? I say again, 100% RUBBISH.
