What's Wrong?

Cowork tab completely absent from navigation — no Chat/Cowork toggle visible

OS: Windows 11 Pro x64 OS Build 26200.8246
Claude Desktop version 1.6259.1 (5095e7)
Cowork readiness check: Passed after enabling Virtual Machine Platform
Symptom: Cowork tab completely absent from navigation — no Chat/Cowork toggle visible
%APPDATA%\Claude folder: Does not exist after clean reinstall — no logs generated, no initialization attempted
Steps already completed: Full uninstall, deleted %APPDATA%\Claude and %LOCALAPPDATA%\Claude, removed AppX package via PowerShell, rebooted, fresh reinstall from claude.com/download

What Should Happen?

COWORK should appear in the desktop app.

Error Messages/Logs

No errors presented; COWORK is simply missing from the desktop app.

Steps to Reproduce

N/A - Simply open the desktop app.
