Problem Statement

Claude.ai's Styles feature lets users adjust tone and format mid-conversation, including with custom styles. What is missing is a recognised dimension for posture, separate from delivery. Users who want pushback, challenge, or resistance to agreement currently have to discover that they can build this themselves inside a custom style, and the framing of "Styles" as tone and format does not signal that it can carry a posture instruction. Most users assume Claude is "just agreeing with them" and do not realise the lever exists.

Proposed Solution

Either (a) add a built-in preset alongside Concise / Explanatory / Formal that explicitly handles intellectual posture (working title: "Challenge me," "Devil's advocate," or "High friction"), or (b) introduce posture as its own dimension that stacks with Style, so a user can be on Concise + High Friction simultaneously without having to bake both into one custom style.
