What's Wrong?
The Plugins marketplace in the Claude Desktop app fails to load — all plugin cards show as skeleton/placeholder tiles and never populate. Confirmed root cause: plugins.claude.ai does not resolve via DNS (DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN in browser).
Steps to reproduce:
Open Claude Desktop app
Go to Directory → Plugins
Marketplace shows only grey skeleton tiles, no plugins load
Expected behavior:
Plugins marketplace loads and displays available plugins for installation.
Actual behavior:
Marketplace never loads. Navigating directly to https://plugins.claude.ai in browser also fails with DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN.
Environment:
Location: South Africa (Johannesburg)
ISP: Telkom
OS: Windows
Other Anthropic domains (claude.ai, api.anthropic.com) work fine

What Should Happen?
The Plugins marketplace should:
Load and display all available plugins in the Directory
Allow browsing, searching and filtering plugins
Allow clicking on a plugin to install it into the desktop app
Installed plugins should then be active and usable in conversations
Specifically I need:
Searchfit SEO plugin to be installable for website SEO auditing and content strategy
Brightdata plugin to be installable for web scraping and data extraction
