[Bug] Performance or functionality regression causing degraded usefulness for critical tasks

Bug Description
I don't know what you guys did, but Claude Code is nerfed and has been absolutely worthless for almost two weeks. I have completely stopped using it for anything critical. I just use it to source syntax and command-line references. I guess it's nice to have a smart manpage, but I definitely won't be spending $100/mo for it. I removed the version I had bc it wouldn't update and re-installed to get to the latest version, but I can't get it to follow simple directions that are not only in CLAUDE.md and repeated throughout each project in a memory file, but also injected by a hook each and every time it goes to write anything. Despite all that time I spent trying to create a workaround, it won't perform tasks it is told to complete, it will not read sources or data it is given in order to make decisions, populate variables, or to keep it on track because it also doesn't pay attention to any memory files. 2.1.123 hasn't fixed anything for the Max plan on Opus 4.6 1m or Opus 4.7 1m.
