Bring back custom folders in the desktop sidebar

Hiya!

I'm a documentary producer using Claude Code for non-coding work (running scripts, transcribing audio, organising research for a film). I'm not a developer, so my workflow probably looks a bit different from most users.

Before the April redesign, I had custom folders in the sidebar to group sessions the way I think about my work. For example, I had "Featherstone admin", "Featherstone scripts", and "research" all sitting under the same project but doing very different things. Those folders were honestly the main way I navigated the app.

The new project-based grouping is tidier, but it collapses everything for one codebase into one bucket, which doesn't quite match how I actually work day to day. Pinning helps a bit but caps out fast.

Would love to see custom folders come back as an option, even alongside the auto-grouping :-)

Thanks,
Bree
