[BUG] Cant change Claude Desktop App back to 300px width on Mac

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

The Claude desktop app used to allow shrinking the window width down to roughly 300 pixels, which made it easy to dock alongside other applications without giving up a quarter of the screen. The current minimum appears to be around 600 pixels, which takes up far too much real estate for users who run Claude alongside other tools all day.

Please either restore the previous behavior or confirm that the constraint is permanent so users can plan accordingly. Screen real estate matters, and the ability to size the window freely was a meaningful part of the desktop app's value.

What Should Happen?

Restore the previous settings and allow us to shrink the window as we used to be able to in the past.

Steps to Reproduce

The way to reproduce is to try to shrink the Claude Code window. If you can't get anything less wide than 600 pixels, you have proved my point.
