[Bug] Excessive thinking loop causes token waste and unresponsive behavior

Bug Description
stuck in thinking for 27 minutes before I interrupted it. I was asking it to do a very simple set of steps. This also happened with Opus 4.7. Used up most of a 5 hour allotment.
