Problem Statement

I have been using Claude Code for about a month now and it is amazing. I'm a former Apple VP (2002-2007). My 100 or so engineers developed Xcode, and Claude code gives me a similar feeling that I am directing a world class team of developers.
I'd be glad to be an external beta tester when you are ready. Full disclosure: I have some
opinions about what "native to Xcode" should feel like. Happy to provide detailed feedback.

Title: Feature request: Xcode IDE integration

Claude Code ships first-class integrations for VS Code and JetBrains IDEs, but nothing for Xcode. iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, visionOS, and Swift-on-server
development all live in Xcode, and right now that entire ecosystem is limited to the terminal experience.

What a good integration would look like

Bring Xcode/Claude integration to meet and even exceed the VS Code extension's feature set:

MEET (EQUAL) Claude/VS Code integration

• Inline diff review inside the Xcode editor
• @-mention files/symbols from the current workspace
• Plan / tool-call visibility in a side panel
• Automatic context: currently open file, selection, build errors from the Issue Navigator
• Hook into xcodebuild / simulator / test results so Claude can see failures without shelling out
• Respect the Xcode project/workspace model (schemes, targets, SwiftPM dependencies)

EXCEED Claude/VS Code integration

• Development of the numerous integrated apps that to new Apple Siri agentic UX
• Ensure Claude is in the first rank of AI platforms on iPhone
• Swift/Xcode is the only path for shipping to the App Store — it's not substitutable with VS Code
• Xcode 26 introduced its own "coding intelligence" agent, which signals Apple is opening up the editor to agent workflows; good time for Claude Code to land
