Problem Statement

In the Claude Code desktop app, user message bubbles are displayed in blue. I'd like the option to customize the bubble color (e.g., gray/black) for a cleaner, more neutral look. Currently there's only a light/dark toggle no way to change specific UI colors like bubble backgrounds. Please add theme/color customization options in the desktop app settings.

Proposed Solution

Add a theme customization section in the desktop app settings (e.g., under Customize or a new Appearance panel) that lets users change the user message bubble color. Ideally a color picker or a few preset options (blue, gray, black, neutral) so users can pick a cleaner look. The setting should apply immediately and persist across sessions.

Alternative Solutions

I tried switching between light and dark mode the only built-in toggle available but both still show blue user bubbles. I also checked the Customize panel, but it only contains Skills/Connectors/Plugins, no appearance options. The /theme slash command isn't recognized in the desktop app.
