What's Wrong?

This error happens on startup:

[ERROR] MCP server "claude-vscode" Failed to fetch tools:
MCP error -32601: Method not found

and then from there, Claude has no access to IDE tools - can't open diffs, can't get diagnostics.

What Should Happen?

Claude Code VSCode extension should present IDE tools to Claude Code

Thanks for the report. This was fixed in 2.1.147. The IDE MCP server no longer advertises a tools capability without a handler. Please update and let us know if you still see the -32601.
