Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

I can't do anything in any local session without getting errors like this using windows desktop Version 1.3109.0 (35cbf6)

This started yesterday after i relaunched the app and after 4.7 was released.

The CLI works fine.

What Should Happen?

it should respond as normal to the prompt, not give an API error.

Error Messages/Logs

Error examples:
API Error (claude-sonnet-4-6): 400 The provided model identifier is invalid.. Try --model to switch to us.anthropic.claude-sonnet-4-5-20250929-v1:0.

API Error (claude-opus-4-7): 400 The provided model identifier is invalid.. Try --model to switch to us.anthropic.claude-opus-4-1-20250805-v1:0.

Steps to Reproduce

restart claude and start a new local session or continue an existing local session and after typing anything, the same error appears. If i change the model at the bottom of the UX, it just references the selected model in the error.
