Claude Code process exited with code 1 after update to 1.3036.0 - Failed to create bridge sockets

Description

After updating Claude Desktop to version 1.3036.0, every query fails with Claude Code process exited with code 1. Downgrading to 1.1617.0 fixes the issue immediately.

Error

Error: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts

The VM boots successfully (network CONNECTED, API REACHABLE), but the Claude Code process crashes within ~1 second of spawning.

Environment

• Claude Desktop version: 1.3036.0 (broken), 1.1617.0 (works)
• macOS: 26.3.1 (Build 25D2128)

Steps to reproduce

1. Update Claude Desktop to 1.3036.0
2. Open any conversation
3. Send a message
4. Claude Code process exits with code 1

Workaround

Downgrade to version 1.1617.0.
