Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

Cowork browser automation tools stopped working after updating to version 1.3036.0.0. Claude in Chrome tools (navigate, read_page, click, form_input) no longer work during Cowork sessions. Tasks that were working before the update now fail mid-execution with "Claude Code process exited with code 1".

What Should Happen?

Cowork should complete browser automation tasks using Claude in Chrome tools as it did before the update.

Error Messages/Logs

Claude Code process exited with code 1

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Open Claude Desktop on Windows 11 Home
  2. Open Cowork tab
  3. Give any task that requires browser automation (e.g. navigate to a URL and interact with a web app)
  4. Claude starts the task but fails mid-execution with "Claude Code process exited with code 1"
  5. Clicking "Intentar nuevamente" or starting a new chat produces the same error
