Cowork bridge registration stuck in 409 loop — ghost environment can't be cleared

Environment

  • Claude Desktop v1.2581.0
  • macOS on Apple Silicon

Problem

Cowork / Dispatch got stuck in a bridge registration conflict loop and could not recover cleanly.

Symptoms

  • Repeated Cowork bridge registration failures
  • Claude reported that an agent was already registered on the machine
  • Restarting the app alone did not clear the condition

Local resolution

Resolved locally after fully quitting Claude Desktop, clearing persisted local Cowork bridge/session state, and relaunching the app.

Notes

Closing this because it is no longer reproducible on my machine. There may still be a broader stale-environment / bridge-recovery issue related to existing reports.
