[BUG] ssh remote hostname no longer visible

Resolved 💬 2 comments Opened Apr 15, 2026 by billdenney Closed May 26, 2026

Preflight Checklist

  • [x] I have searched existing issues and this hasn't been reported yet
  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

In the previous version of the Cluade app, the ssh hostname was visible next to the prompt region. I connect to multiple remote ssh servers for varying reasons (often to test different architectures), so knowing which server I'm connected to is helpful. This was visible in the previous version of Claude and has been removed in the current version.

What Should Happen?

The remote ssh hostname should be visible. In the current version, it is not obvious to me how to see if I am running locally, remotely, and if remotely, on which machine.
