[BUG] Branch name not displayed in session toolbar on Claude Desktop v1.2581.0 (macOS)

What's Wrong?
The branch name is not shown in the session toolbar above the chat, despite the project folder being a valid Git repository.

Expected behavior
Branch name should appear in the session toolbar per the documentation for v1.2581.0+.

Actual behavior
Session toolbar shows no branch name.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open Claude Desktop
2. Start a new Code session
3. Select a Git repository as the project folder
4. Observe session toolbar — branch name is absent

What Should Happen?

Branch name should appear in the session toolbar above the chat when a Git repository is selected as the project folder, as documented for v1.2581.0+.
