Preflight Checklist

  • [x] This is a single bug report (please file separate reports for different bugs)
  • [x] I am using the latest version of Claude Code

What's Wrong?

The Claude Code Desktop app sidebar displays conversation titles in English, regardless of the language used in the conversation or the system/app language settings. Since conversations are conducted entirely in another language (Spanish in my case), the sidebar titles should reflect that language rather than defaulting to English. Specially since the app's global language is set to Español (España) in my case.

What Should Happen?

Conversation titles should be generated in the same language as the conversation content. Ideally, the app should also respect the macOS system and/or the apps own global language setting for UI elements, like conversation titles.

  4. Look at the sidebar — conversation titles and generated in English
