[BUG] Got a 500 error with request req_011Ca21hXh71EJYT87bLg2Bi

What's Wrong?

I was responding to Claude with answers to it's questions and received a 500 code response. This is particularly annoying as I'd just had to purchase additional tokens to continue my work and I'm going to guess that there was some token usage as part of this 500 error or in follow-on work after the 500 because Claude Code didn't even understand when I asked about the 500 error.

What Should Happen?

Claude Code should have automatically retried the request and reduced the tokens used by any consumed as a result of the 500 error.

Steps to Reproduce

I do not have a repro as it seemed to be a transient issue and I do not have access to the server logs to even try to understand what went wrong. And since it would burn tokens to try to reproduce the issue, I'm unlikely to do so without getting some runway to even try.
