Overview
Build a prototype demonstrating MCP (Model Context Protocol) GitHub integration workflows within Claude Code.
Objectives
- Create a working prototype that showcases MCP GitHub server capabilities
- Demonstrate practical workflows for common GitHub operations
- Provide examples of how MCP enhances Claude Code's GitHub interactions
Key Features to Prototype
1. Issue Management Workflow
- Create, read, update issues via MCP
- Bulk issue operations
- Issue templating and automation
2. Pull Request Workflow
- Create PRs with AI-assisted descriptions
- Automated code review workflows
- PR status tracking and management
3. Repository Analysis
- Code scanning integration
- Dependency analysis
- Security vulnerability reporting
4. Automation Workflows
- GitHub Actions integration
- Workflow monitoring and debugging
- Automated deployment pipelines
Technical Requirements
- Use existing MCP GitHub server
- Integrate with Claude Code framework
- Demonstrate SuperClaude capabilities
- Include error handling and fallback strategies
Success Criteria
- [ ] Working prototype with at least 3 demonstrated workflows
- [ ] Documentation of MCP GitHub capabilities
- [ ] Example code and usage patterns
- [ ] Performance benchmarks
- [ ] Integration with existing Claude Code features
Implementation Notes
- Leverage existing MCP GitHub server tools
- Consider persona-based workflows (DevOps, QA, Security)
- Include wave orchestration for complex operations
- Demonstrate multi-server coordination (GitHub + other MCP servers)
Resources
- MCP Documentation
- Claude Code Documentation
- Current MCP GitHub server implementation
